Hello!
Thank you for taking a minute to read about me……
I was born to old parents! I am the youngest of four and to keep me busy (and to keep their sanity) my parents purchased art supplies for me. They bought everything the local five and dime had to offer: paints, brushes, markers, construction paper, pipe cleaners, glue, glitter etc. My mom also found things around the house and yard like old buttons, the card board toilet paper rolls, leaves, pussy willows, acorns, cotton balls and she would even to the local paint store and get old wall paper books for me to cut up and use as I pleased. I was a lucky girl!
That was my start and has been my path through my life. My favorite ways to create are drawing, painting, collage, clay mache and embroidery.
For many of my adult years I created art illustrations for book lovers, librarians & teachers. Those designs were printed on t-shirts, tote bags, lapel pins, greeting cards and were marketed at national conferences. Hence the often found book in my paintings. I love to read!
Most importantly, I am a wife, mom and grandma! So from watching my own 4 kids grow up and now watching my 4 grand kids grow, I enjoy a never ending source of entertainment and ideas for illustrations.
